Want lessons in your home? In-Home Monthly Travel is as little as $20 per month (4 trips,) added to family tuition.
Fees and supplies for optional events such as group performances, workshops, festivals and competitions are additional. No Recital Fee for Private music students.
Tuition is paid by automatic payment on a monthly basis via bank draft, credit or debit card, beginning on August 1. Last draft is made June 1. Each monthly installment is 1/11 of full session tuition. We automatically apply discounts to multiple classes in same family account every month as follows: 1st Class: Full Tuition, 2nd Class: 5%, 3rd Class: 10% , 4th Class:15%, 5th+: 20% off.
Instruments and Supplies
Academy of Arts does not sell or rent instruments or supplies, but recommends reliable sources and provides guidance to students in procuring appropriate instruments and materials.
Music Teachers
Our instructors specialize in teaching young children and have extensive experience teaching older children and adults from the beginning through advanced levels. Their credentials include university training and degrees in music performance, pedagogy, and/or music education, professional teaching in elementary, secondary schools and colleges, and professional performing experience. Our teachers are trained in a variety of methods, and for private instruction choose the best approach individually for each student based on an assessment on his or her unique learning style.
Parents
Adult dance classes and music lessons are available for parents who wish to take their own class. Early Childhood Music classes are popular class for parents/care givers and their very young children from 5 weeks to 5 years old. Parents are asked to attend the last 15 minutes of each class/lesson or as instructed by the teacher and take notes for the student. Parents may also study along with the student in consultation with the teacher.
